This motorscooter was a long-term project. The tank paint was a particular thing I wanted to try for a long time. Prepping, designing, masking, spraying and finishing. In Datsun Red and VW Black for reasons I’d be happy to geek out on.
Each year, we do a themed holiday tree. Zombies, Pizza, Candyland, Kitties, Doggies, Butterflies, and Potter. The tree is a family project but I’m in charge of the topper and the skirt. Papercraft, mixed media, lighting, and sometimes human blood.
Papercraft of the Weasly’s enchanted muggle mobile. No wizards or womping willows were harmed in the making of this topper.
The skirt was 50ish hand-lettered, wax-sealed, and addressed to the boy under the stairs letters. The scarf was felt and 60 feet long.
Pizza. And a rat.
A bit of hand lettering and photography. I wanted these to be a practical as possible with no Photoshop compositing. Just a bit of color correction to keep the reds consistent. Paint, chalk, a camera, and a baby.
